Italian born artist Marco Crivello painter of contemporary landscape paintings and seascapes lives and works in the English town of Lewes East Sussex set in the heart of the South Downs and near the coast and Brighton. His working method is studio based as opposed to plein air yet takes inspiration from the evocative romanticism of Caspar David Friedrich Whistler and Turner whilst mindful of the modernist legacy left by American abstract expressionists Rothko and Newman. 2005 saw his work at the affordable art fair New York, whilst he is a regular at the London Art Fair Art London and Glasgow art fair.
